In July, representatives from Sydney Water, City of Sydney, Canterbury Bankstown Council, Bayside Council, Inner West Council, and Burwood Council attended an in-person workshop at Bankstown Arts Centre to discuss how the Cooks River Alliance (CRA) should support ecological rehabilitation and preservation in the catchment, and what projects should be CRA’s highest priorities as part of the Cooks River Masterplan.
Workshop participants were asked to consider the community’s priorities and councils’ priorities for ecology in the Cooks River catchment. Participants were asked to consider how the Cooks River Alliance should support these council priorities. Throughout the workshop, participants continued to discuss the need to balance strategic impact with practical delivery.
